Personal BioGwendolyn was born and raised in the great state of California. She has always been one to follow her heart and finds the deepest satisfaction and gratitude in caring for all walks of life. Gwendolyn has had a journey so we will try to keep this short. She recently relocated and is rebuilding her practice in Nevada County. At the age of 18 Gwendolyn moved to Austin, Texas. There she received a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts and Art History, at the University of Texas. After graduating university, she moved to Brooklyn, New York. Gwendolyn was inspired by the culture, diversity and art of the city. She found community and sanctuary in her yoga practice. Gwendolyn completed 200-hour yoga teacher certification with a focus in Kundalini. Missing the beauty of California, Gwendolyn moved back and continued her education and passion for holistic health and helping others. Gwendolyn devoted many years working with animals and in nursing as a CNA and RNA, caring for individuals in recovery and in hospice care. Feeling discouraged by the medical system she turned to massage, skin care and building her own business. She wanted to create a wellness practice that would give individualized quality care. Gwendolyn began practicing massage on many of her residents at the nursing facility. She immediately saw the healing it would give her residents and knew she had chosen the perfect career path for her future. She received her Massage Therapist license in 2014 through Sebastopol's School of Massage, Celebrating Spirit and Santa Rosa Junior College. Skin care came into the picture around the same time, when she began sharing natural skin care products she made. She received her esthetician license through Lytle's Beauty College in 2016. Gwendolyn says, "Life is all about learning and experiences, my favorite subjects are medicinal herbs, gardening, DIY projects, anything that involves working with my hands and requires creativity. I enjoy surrounding myself in nature, hiking, camping, yoga and those amazing calm days at the ocean listening to the waves. Currently living in the of Nevada County, here I enjoy listening to the Yuba River rushing downstream and of course I LOVE LOVE love my children and being a mama". |
